and southern Illinois. Bobby Cook has worked at WKYQ since
1977, except for 8 years on the air in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1990, Bobby was named America's small market radio personality of the
year by the Country Music Association. In 1999, Bobby was
nominated for the same award by the Academy of Country Music.
Steve Schwetman returned to WKYQ from stints in Las Vegas
and Hollywood, including radio shows, movie and TV appearances,
and standup comedy. There are a whole cast of characters trapped
in Steve's head, and he lets 'em out every morning, 6 'til
10am on 93.3 WKYQ!

News Director Donna Groves knows Western Kentucky...she's a Lone Oak native and a Murray State graduate. The WKYQ news staff has racked up more awards than we have walls to hang them. ABC News named WKYQ as one of the six best radio news departments in America! Every year, the WKYQ news team brings home handfuls of awards from the Kentucky Associated Press competition. In 2008, Donna received her 6th award as "Best Reporter in the State"!

Joe Jackson - News
In just a few short years, Joe Jackson has become one of the most trusted names in news. Joe graduated from Murray State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Journalism and a minor in political science. He's been with the WKYQ news department since 2004. Joe scored top honors at the Kentucky AP Awards for "Best Political Coverage" in 2008. When he’s not covering breaking news, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh Ann, and his two sons, Peyton and Reece.

BARRY WRIGHT - Afternoon News Reporter
Barry Wright is our Afternoon News Reporter. Barry comes to WKYQ after spending the past two years in southeastern Kentucky working as the operations manager for Redhound Productions in Corbin. He is no stranger to the Paducah airwaves . Barry holds a degree in Communications/Broadcasting from the University of Tennessee at Martin. In his spare time, Barry likes to spend time with his family and friends, going to the movies and is a huge fan of the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators and the Atlanta Braves.

JP ROBERTS - Traffic Reporter
JP Roberts is a life-long Paducahan. He graduated from Tilghman High School in 1981 and attended Paducah Community College and Murray State University . JP started his law enforcement career in 1987 and retired from the Paducah Police Department on May 31, 2008. He enjoys spending time with family, especially his 14 year old son James, who will be entering Lone Oak High School this fall. JP is a huge NFL fan, especially of the 49ers, and enjoys getting together with friends to watch the big game of the week. He likes going out to dinner, catching a new movie and loves technology and gadgets.
